Summer is officially here! Chew Street isn’t wasting any time sourcing delicious summery ingredients to include in our at-home cooking. We were invited to lunch at Nella Cucina hosted by Chef Devin Connell (of Delica Kitchen) and Jennifer Sygo (dietician, author, and columnist for the National Post) and Zespri Kiwifruit the producers of Green and SunGold kiwifruit. Aside from being a delicious, easily portable snack, kiwi has some impressive health benefits:

We were treated to a delicious three-course lunch, each course containing Zespri Green or SunGold Kiwifruit. If you’re anything like us, when cooking in the summer you want to use as many fresh ingredients and the BBQ as possible. We really enjoyed Devin’s Grill Fish Tostadas with a Kiwi Corn Salsa and a Carrot and Jicama Slaw. It’s a perfect summer dish for the next time you’re having friends over.
