There are two great events coming up that you can take advantage of if you are in the Toronto area.  Both involve great food, company and a chance to contribute to a worthy cause.  Hungry?  Read on and click on the event photos to purchase your tickets.

On Thursday March 10, U-Feast will host a fundraiser in support of Second Harvest with chefs Michael Hunter (Antler Kitchen & Bar) and Geoff Webb (Sassafraz).

The evening, titled "A Wild Affair with chefs Michael Hunter and Geoff Webb" will take place at Sassafraz,  and together the two chefs will present a menu of wild-caught sturgeon, game and foraged ingredients.

Tickets for the evening are $150 (with a $50 tax receipt) which includes the cocktail reception of hors d'oeuvres and Bottega prosecco as well as a 4-course meal.

Just $1 a day provides 2 meals via Second Harvest's anti-hunger initiatives.

The Home Grown Dinner Project is a new pop up dinner series in Toronto featuring local talent, local ingredients and a local cause.

The first event of the series will take place on Sunday, March 13th at Actinolite Restaurant. Diners will experience an innovative 5-course tasting menu with wine pairings, cooked and presented by rising chefs from the kitchens of Actinolite, La Société, Drake One Fifty and Rhum Corner. Spots are limited!

All proceeds from tickets will go directly towards Community Food Centres Canada with hopes of not only raising funds, but awareness for the importance of good food and eating habits in our low income communities.  Click on the image below to purchase your tickets.
